PANEL CONSTRUCTION AND ATTACHMENT

Accutrack Panels and Upholstered Wall Systems are constructed from a rigid vinyl framework which is reinforced at the corners by a patented locking key.

The key is inserted into each end of a mitred Accutrack extrusion to create a solid framework. The corner key is designed with grooves which allow the tracks to be adjusted in the field to conform to construction irregularities without having to scribe, shave or cut the panel as with other panel systems.

Once the panel framework is created to exact dimensions, the subsurface of fiberglass or micore is inserted and bonded, forming a perfectly aligned durable subsurface. The specified fabric is then applied over the face of the panel with grain lines properly aligned. The panel is completed by bonding the fabric to the panel on the back side only, thus preventing telescoping adhesive and reduced acoustical values.

The standard method of affixing the completed panel to the wall is with the Accutrack Pin Nail System. Pin Nails are shot through the face of the panel with a pneumatic gun and buried into the panel subsurface. This method provides for the most exact alignment of the panel as well as allowing complete panel and fabric changeability.

Other panel attachments may be selected including Hook and Loop, Foam Tape, Mechanical Clips, Magnetic Tape and Silicone Adhesive.
