Fabric Section

There are virtually thousands of textiles, vinyls and leathers that are suitable for use on the Accutrack System. When making fabric selections the designer should follow these basic guidelines.

  1. Fabric must be upholstery weight

  2. Fabric must be opaque

  3. Fabric must have a Class A Fire Rating (or be flameproofed)

  4. Fabric must not be paper backed

Certain fibers such as Rayon, Nylon and Silk are very sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity which can affect their stability. These fibers (or blends of these fibers) may require special backings or care after installation. We strongly recommend consulting with our staff if there is a question regarding fiber content or the suitability of a fabric for a specific application such as an atrium, lockeroom or pool area.

When Accutrack is specified for sound absorption the fabric should be acoustically transparent, allowing for maximum transmission of sound waves. Fabrics that require acrylic or latex backings will reduce the acoustical value of the panel. If vinyl is selected as a finish, it should be micro perforated for acoustical applications.

Accutrack offers a complete selection of panel fabrics which include polyesters, silks, wools, linens and blends. Samples are available upon request.
